About Oxford

The town has been awarded many distinctions such as a 2008 Bicycle Friendly Community, top 50 towns in the United States, top 6 retirement community, and host of a 2008 Presidential Debate. Recently thousands of jobs were brought to Oxford by the Winchester plant, Toyota, and FNC.

The University of Mississippi is located just off of the historic Downtown Square. With a 20 percent growth in the past five years the University is expected to continue growing as more students are drawn in by the beauty of the campus. The University too has been honored with many distinctions. Aside from the SEC sporting events, the campus has constant entertainment with films in the Grove, theatrical performances, book readings, lectures, art exhibits, and greek life.
